Lettre du 7 juin 1762 (d’Avignon) : dans un post-scriptum, « Je vous prie de me marquer si la tête de Julie qui se trouve au revers d’Auguste sur la médaille de grand bronze de la colonie romulia, julia augusta generis orbis, si dis-je c’est la même tête que celle qu’on voit sur plusieurs moyens bronzes romains avec le mot pietas, salus, justitia. Nous manquons ici de livres d’où l’on pourrait tirer des éclaircissements. Je crois d’ailleurs que ces sentiments sont partagés » (Nîmes, Bibliothèque municipale, Ms 140, f° 18).
