-Lettre du 27 sept. 1665 : à propos de son espoir de publier un livre avec 120 planches d’illustrations : « dovendo io in hora se a Dio piacerà dar al publico da 120 tavole intagliate con tutte le medaglie greche, tutte le colonie da me già possedute e tutte le romane, che con fabriche o provincie o historia mi son parse più rare e riguardevoli, con aggionta anco di molte che di diversi studii, quali havendo io hauto in mano, mi sono assecurato della loro antichità, che percio non posso lasciare da altri publicare alcuni pochi medaglioni da quali per esser singolari e bellissimi spero riceverne qualche honore, che percio desidero d’essere io medesimo il publicatore… » (voir Missere Fontana 2009, p. 282, note 296, p. 361, note 17).
