-Lettre du 7 nov. 1665 (de Rome) : « Riceverà Vostra Altezza Serenissima, in un scatolino siggilato fatto da me consegnare a’ ministri della Posta di Toscana, il medaglione di Massimiano e medaglia di Caracalla greco, fatto rinettare con quella maggior diligenza che si è potuto. Il Caracalla pero non ha fatta gran riuscita, si per quello che scrive l’istesso rinettatore nella carta dove viene involto, come per quello che mi ha aggionto in voce, che er stato altre volte rinettato e poi ricoperto con patina moderna » (Firenze, ASF, Carteggio d’artisti, VIII, f° 296 ; M.
