Grand documentOriginal passage from the "Grand document".
-Lettre du 20 juillet 1706 (d’Hannovre): en latin: ANDREAS MORELL of Berne had made a study of ancient French and later of German and Dutch coins and has over 29,000. replicas. His friend SCHWARZBURG is having part edited. He regrets that for lack of a qualified editor the world will be deprived of an incomparable treasure store [the argument is not fully decipherable]. (Oxford, Bodleian Library, MS Smith 46 fols. 505-508).
RemarksRemarks regarding the annotation. (fr)
Date sans doute erronée: Morell est mort en 1703 et Leibniz n'est plus à Hannovre en 1706. (fr)
