-Lettre du 25 septembre 1672 (de) : « Il y a sept ou huit mois que j’achetay avec un de mes cousins un cabinet d’un curieux [de médailles] qui s’en mesloit depuis 15 ans. Il y avoit plus de 1500 medailles mais je croy qu’il y en avoit plus de 300 fausses à la pluspart desquelles il avoit esté trompé. J’ay choisi le bon des celles la et mon cabinet en doit valoir quelque chose de plus.
