Lettre du 19 mai 1726 ( ?) : « Je suis charmé de l’exactitude et de la diligence avec laquelle le roi a été servi et surtout de la satisfaction qu’il a eu la bonté de vous en marquer. Je compte aller demain à Versailles, et, si la reine persiste dans l’envie qu’elle a témoignée de voir nos trésors, je me ferai un honneur et un plaisir de satisfaire moi-même sa curiosité et de vous seconder au mieux par moi-même dans une si agréable fonction » (Paris, BnF, Man., Fr. 22234, f° 27 ; Sarmant 1994, p. 103, note 31).
