21 July 1633 (from Paris): “sachez que je dois donner un gros bouquin de mes rêveries aux curieux l’année prochaine, mais que ce sera toutefois à condition que je ne me trouve point prévenu en principales pièces expliquées par des curieux plus intelligents que je ne suis, qui suis le fils aîné de l’ignorance, et vous dirai qu’outre ledit seigneur Angeloni, nous avons ici un père minime qui fait quelques observations sur quinze cens med[ailles] d’argent, que le sieur Collobert, curieux, a fait graver, et ce à l’imitation du discours fait par Joannes Hemelarius sur les med[ailles] d’or du duc d’Arschot. Toutesfois je ne crois pas que nous nous rencontrions souvent en nos imaginations ; il est ce que je serais content qu’il me donna le sujet, et les autres, de retrancher quelque chose de mes écritures, car j’ai un courage et un dessein trop vastes” (Paris, Bnf, Fonds français, vol. 9536, fol. 131; Tamizey de Larroque 1885, III, p. 19-23).
