Grand documentOriginal passage from the "Grand document".

-Lettre du 24 novembre 1698 (de Livourne) : It is very long since he has heard from L.; now that he is settled at this conveniently situated place he starts correspondence afresh in his desire to know something of the progress of learning among your virtuosi. Not much to write about from Italy, … We have had two works printed here about select antique medals and other bas reliefs, and sculptures, with elegant illustrations. (Oxford, Bodleian Library, MS Lister 3, f° 214).
