-Lettre du 19 septembre 1561 (de Paris) : « Je Nicolao Throkmortoy ambassad’ poure la Royne d’Angleterre ay France chevr & gentilhom de la chambre de la dy Royne, confesse avoir eu et receu de Guillau’ Mullot merchant bourgeois de Paris, Douze effigies des Douze Empereurs Romains de Cuivre de Corinthe, estans dans une petite cayssette comble de cuyr bleu dore, double de velloure rouge, pour icelles envoyer et fare veoire a la dy Royne d’angte. Lesquelles douze effigies d’empereurs je prometz rendre au dy Mullot ou au porte’ de la presente ay mesme estat que je les ay receues dans deux mois prochains Ou pour icelles douze effigies Luy payer content La Somme de Six cents escuz d’or sol. Dans le dy temps de deux mois. Oy foy de quoy jay fait escripre la pre{se}nte par main d’aultruy et soubsegner de [ladite?] notre main propre. [I Nicholas Throckmorton, ambassador of the Queen of England to France, Knight and Gentleman of the chamber of the said Queen, confirm that I have had and received from Guillaume Mullot, citizen merchant of Paris, twelve Images of twelve Roman Emperors in Corinthian bronze, being in a little box made up from gilded blue leather, and overlaid with red velvet, to send them and allow the said Queen of England to see them. The said twelve images of Roman Emperors I promise to deliver to the said Mullot, or the bearer of the present, in the same state as I received them in two months, or to pay him for the said Images the sum of 600 gold écus au soleil. Within the said time of two months. In witness of this that I have had written by the hand of another and have signed below in my own hand. In Paris, the 19th day of the month of September 1561.] Sir Nicolas Throkmortons bill to a marchant of Paris, bound for the sauf delivery of xii medalles of the xii Emperors of Roohme: or else six hundred ΔβL wthin two months. The said medalles wer sent to be sene of the Q. matie the xx of septembre 61 by J.
