17 Febr. 1625 (from Aix): “Je pense bien qu’il serait nécessaire que vous fassiez renvoyer à Mr Rubens la boîte dont il est question en état afin qu’il en puisse mieux parler et s’il avait envie lui-même de le retenir parce qu’il a acquis la fleur du cabinet du duc d’Arschot, je le remets fort franchement à son arbitrage et disposition et penserais lui être grandement obligé s’il l’avait retenu ou tout ou telle partie qu’il les voudrait sur tout le contenu de ladite boîte” (Paris, BnF, Man., N. acq. françaises, 5170, f° 111; Rooses & Ruelens 1900 III, no. 370, p. 334).
