Lettre du 22 août 1617 (de Paris): "Due lettere di V. S. Illustre de' 3. e 22. Luglio, mi sono venute oggi sotto una coperta dell'Illustre Sign. Lorenzo, per mano del gentilissimo Sign. Padavini Segretario dell'Eccellentissimo Sig. Ottaviano, in risposta delle quali ho da condolermi seco, prima della perdita di quel preziosissimo studio di Medaglie, ed altre antichità dell'Illustriss. Sign. Gio: Mocenigo, che io veggio essergli stato rubato con tanta altra roba. Di che mi dispiace sommamente, sapendo quante cose eccellenti c'erano, e sopra tutto di Medaglie greche" (BnM, Ms. It.
