'[Destouches] says that his English friends have told him that Sloane does not have the ‘tres belle medaille d’or’ which he is offering him. ‘C’est un Laelianus Tyran dont nous ne voyons que le médailles de petit bronze ... elle est tres belle et indubitablement antique.’ He hoped that Sloane would buy it, since he would be ‘bien charmé de contribuer a l’embelissement de votre cabinet, qui passe en France pour un des plus riches de Europe.'
