Grand documentOriginal passage from the "Grand document".

'I delivered the brass coin to Mr Hyde, and told him that it came from you, to whom he will send the explication of it, if anything can be picked out. He is trying what he can do with a coin of Tangrolipix [Tughril Beg], the first Sultan of the Turks in Persia, which ha’s an ill fashion’d Head, & on the reverse a plain Inscription, which the Dr says is in Syriak letters, but I am affraid there will be no great discoveries.' (Wanley 1989, pp. 98-9, letter 51; Burnett 2020b, p. 650)
