Grand documentOriginal passage from the "Grand document".

'Mr Kemp was too cunning for me who am but a plain honest man. I did not know the Jewel which he truckt wth me was Charles the fifth Emperour; I now know the genuine(?) Cost of it. I must think him yet my Debtor; if he will present me with some Medals which he hath in store and I want, I shall ever value his friendship most heartily; pray wth my humble service tell him so.' (BL, Harley MS 3778, f.107; Burnett 2020b, p. 589 n. 165)
