'The best series I have seen as yet of our English Coyns is now in the Hands of my ffriend Mr Willis of Buckinghamshire. Yet I think Sir Andrew Fountaine hath the compleatest now in the World. Sir Andrew once designed to publish all our Coyns with distinct reverses since the Conquest, as he hath already done those of the Saxon \& Danish/ times. I am afraid he hath laid by that Design, as well as his Design of giving the History of Carausius & Allectus from \Roman/ Coyns not taken notice of either by Occo, or Mediobarbus, or any other Antiquary.'
