Grand documentOriginal passage from the "Grand document".

'I have picked up some Medals, but have not yet met wth one of my Ld Pembrokes Catalogue, tho’ have sent copies of it to Constantinople, Aleppo & Larissa, from whence daily expect some. As to his Grace ye Duke of Buckingham’s com’ission, I have small hopes of rendring him yt service. I cou’d wish there had been but 3 tolerable statues (or rather Busts) bought here this 20 years past. Some few there are in or nations hands, but so deformed, yt I wou’d not pay ye freight home to have them. They are rarely found in these parts, & as surely defac’d as dug up.' (London, British Library, Sloane MS 4040, ff.13-14; Burnett 2020b, p. 611)
