'I was this day with a gentleman that saw a larg piece of gold coin as bigg as a Jacobus, lately found at Riby in this county. He says that it was a Roman coin, and was such pure gold that [it] bended any way as easily as if it had been a thin plate of lead.' (Jackson 1869, p. 151)
