-Lettre du 16 août 1726 (Londres, British Library, Add. Ms ; 32,457, fol. 45r-48r – en latin): demande des nouvelles des fouilles à Rome puisque tout parvient à Ficoroni ; a entendu parler d’un livre à paraître de Ficoroni dont il est preneur de 20 exemplaires (davantage peut-être par la suite) qu’il paiera en cash ou par échange ; rappel de transactions passées dont il a parfois pu contester le prix ; se propose de venir à Rome pour le dévaliser de ses trésors mais il sait qu’il devra y mettre le prix fort ; il ne veut que des pièces de première qualité et garanties par Ficoroni ; évoque la création récente de la Society of Antiquaries ; se plaint d’avoir reçu un exemplaire défectueux du Museum Kircherianum ; demande de saluer de sa part le baron Stosch et Gezzi (Spier & Kagan 2000, p. 52-55).
