Diary of Simonds D'Ewes, 19 may 1646: 'Consultavi pomeridiano cu’ Nathaniele Hallaeo de rarissimis illis Numismatis Thomae Finchij Comitis Winchelsaei defuncti quae emeram & ut ad me deferentur die iovis proxima.'

[I consulted in the afternoon with Nathaniel Hall about those very rare coins, which I had bought, of the deceased Thomas Finch Earl of Winchelsea; and that they should be delivered to me next Thursday.]
